Iroyd.com
I'm currently working on trying to get iroyd.com, my website, up and running with content. I'm looking to add a drop down css functionality to the menu. A List Apart website is a great resource for anyone looking to add nice things to their website. It's also recommended by some awesome css designers, such as Dan Cedarholm. He's the author of Bulletproof Webdesign. He also came to work a few months back to help us with css authoring standards. Nice guy too.

Knoxville
So Knoxville is alright. It's been pretty good to me for the most part. I only have a few complaints really. Traffic, air quality, and the lack of good concerts. I can elaborate more on these later down the road, but I really wanted to vent about the lack of good concerts. I mean, when I was living in the St. Louis area, there were all kinds of great bands coming to town and all the time. Memphis is also another great place as well as Chicago. Chicago is a fun city anyways, but very good also for concerts. Last concert I really REALLY wanted to go to was the Tool concert, but it was sooo sold out. It really stunk to not be able to go. And I couldn't pay 500$ for tickets on ebay. Grr.
Chicago Bears
I don't know what it is really, but I've been a Bears fan since I could remember. Back before the Super Bowl Shuffle. I'm pretty excited though this season. I think they really do have a shot at making it to the Super Bowl. As long as Grossman can man-up, I think the chances are really good.
Random thought for the day
So, I'll be getting married soon (8 months). Scary to me really. Anyways, just a random thought that I felt I could post.

Dart
So I'm currently working, during the holidays, on an ad unit for Sub-Zero. They make the really high end kitchen appliances. Anyways, not sure if you have seen this kind of ad unit before, but they are the ones that when the user hovers of the ad, they grow larger extend out over the content of the page. I admit, they are very annoying, but they are big money right now and they give me a job. It's basically a flash ad with some fancy action scripting. This ad is going to allow the user to sign up for a brochure right there in the ad unit. It's turning out to be a bit more time consuming than I'd hoped and Sub-Zero wants it up by the 1st. Crazy, but they do. They pay a lot of money for this stuff, so they'll get it. Anyways, I'm hoping to get some of it done before Wednesday when I head back to work.
First Post
This is my first post to my second attempt at blogging. I intend to use this blog as strictly talking about the realm of web design.
